You can make them thick or thin, just like milkshakes. But that is where the similarity ends.
Milkshakes are no match at all when it comes to nutrition. Smoothies are king!
Carotenoids Help Protect
Carotenoids are pigments that give fruits and vegetables their color. Examples are carrots, cantaloupe, sweet potato, purple potatoes, and kale. They act as antioxidants and can protect your cells from free radicals.
Free radicals can cause cellular damage, that can lead to disease.
Carotenoids are much better absorbed from smoothies versus eating them.
Chewing does not break the cell walls as thoroughly as a blender would.

Many chefs and restaurants use them because they are that good.
They are higher priced than most other blenders, but are known for their quality. I have had mine for years.
Lower Priced Blender Alternatives
There are some lower priced blenders that may be more affordable to you.
It will replace appliances you already have. It can do multiple jobs.
So if you want something a little less expensive than a Vitamix, this will be a great option.
You need more greens in your diet.
You need to consume them in a way that your body absorbs them best.
You want a delicious and fast way to accomplish this.
That way is a smoothie.
