You Don’t Feel Satisfied With Just A Salad
You want to eat more salads, and thought about even making it your main meal, but you don’t feel satisfied.
Shortly after, you get hungry again. That’s because you didn’t eat a super salad.
Are They Difficult To Make?
Today I am going to talk about salads, and how they need to be a part of your daily diet.
A lot of people ask what is a super salad? A super salad is not just a little side dish to your main entree. It is the main entree.
These salads are very easy to create. Salads made correctly contain foods that we may think twice about eating by themselves. But when they are made in the super salad way, everything tastes “great”.
They are full of the things we need. They contain enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. And they contain phyto nutrients.
Also they have a great amount of much needed fiber.
So remember a super salad is not just a little side dish, but an entire extremely healthy meal.
How Can A Salad Be A Main Meal
When properly made, a salad becomes a super salad. You will notice better digestion because you are combining foods with enzymes, in other words, the foods that are uncooked contains enzymes to help digest the cooked food, which does not contain enzymes.
These salads will fill you up in a good way. You will feel very satisfied.
I learned a lot about salads and how to make them from Jay and Linda Kordich’s book Live Foods Live Bodies.
Until I read their book I was eating salads but not super salads, and wow what a difference. You are going to love these.
You need to satisfy your taste buds with six tastes. They are astringent, pungent, sweet, bitter, sour, and salty. This will stop your cravings for junk food, especially after eating this way for a couple of weeks.
These salads will have just about everything you need for abundant health.
The Super Salad Pyramid And How To Build One
When building a salad follow these guidelines and you can not.go wrong.
The base of this salad making pyramid is greens. About 40%
Then add some other vegetables, such as carrots, zucchini, cucumber, etc. About 20%
Now add some superfoods, such as sprouts, and/or parsley. They are called super foods for a reason. About 10%
Next add some bitter, such as raw onions, radish, fresh basil, capers etc. About 10%
Then add some crunchy nuts and/or seeds, preferably raw. About 5-10%
Chewy grains and/or lentils and beans. About 10%
Finally add some dried fruits, such as raisins or dates, about 5%.
There you have it, a vegetable and fruit Masterpiece. All you need now is a healthy, delicious, and oil free salad dressing.
Sometimes I just add just a little Braggs Liquid Aminos with some Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar along with an Organic no salt spice.
That is pretty much all there is to it. Try these. They are not hard to make and your body will greatly appreciate the nutrition and fiber.
Your Hunger Will Be Eliminated
You will be satisfied, and this meal will keep you that way for a while. You could also try stuffing your salad into a tortilla and then pour your dressing of choice over it. Very satisfying.
I hope you try the super salad. Let me know how you like them, and give some tips of what you created.
Just follow the pyramid and you will build yourself an amazing super salad.
Thanks and have a wonderful healthy day.
